This is a charming Victorian gold-filled Albert watch chain, with a beautifully knotted T-bar and the cutest little slide.
The slide has a tiny flower on all four sides, with the petals appearing to be made in various shades of gold. It's a wonderful little detail and exactly the kind of thing that makes these old watch chains so much fun to collect. The chain measures approximately 9 inches long and has gold-tone loss and age-related patina throughout.
A couple of important notes about this one: it needs a clasp of some kind to be wearable as a complete chain. We think a dog clip or oversized spring ring would be perfect and would make a great addition to the existing hardware.
Also, despite being a “slide,” the slide piece does not currently slide. We don't want to force it and risk damaging the chain or the piece itself, so we've left it exactly where we found it. We're selling it as-is with the slide in its current position.
