This little Victorian watch chain has so much character.
It has a beautiful rose-gold tone and appears to be gold filled, with a wonderful dog clip on one end and, our personal favorite, an oversized spring ring on the other. The spring ring is unusually large and gives this little chain a great bit of personality. We love finding hardware like this on antique jewelry. Sometimes the clasp is half the fun.
The chain measures approximately 9 inches long and has definitely lived a life. There is some gold-tone loss and wear throughout, but we think that only adds to the charm and history of the piece. This isn't a shiny, untouched example, and honestly, we wouldn't want it to be.
